Dear Dad School Class of 2020/21, my darlings Xanthe and Constance.
Today is the culmination of a long journey, almost a whole year of Dad School and you have graduated with Honours!
Just as you were settling in on your school journey and building new friendships, the world threw a pandemic your way. That’s a lot to ask from anybody, but in spite of it all, here you are, not just having learned new skills, but having grown in confidence and thriving.
I can’t deny that although the world has been turned upside down, I have so enjoyed our extra time together. Watching you grow and develop and overcome challenges has just been wonderful to see. I hope one day you will look back at this time and see just how special it was.
Hold your heads high, be incredibly proud of yourselves and celebrate. There is nothing or no-one that can stop you changing the world.
Life is about the journey not the destination.
Live it wisely and live it brilliantly.
Don’t waste it, not one single day.
Live for the now, not the then.
Add life to your days not days to your life.
Be confident. Not arrogant.
Fortune favours the brave.
Live your life.
And don’t forget to look up.
Love always, Daddy x x
